Days 5 and 6 - Puppies 7 Days Old

Did I really sign up for this?  I am still a puppy myself!

But I have to admit...they are pretty darn cute!

Hi...
I am liking it here more every day...getting my energy back and putting some weight on - in spite of these little guys draining everything out of me.

Seriously...I am too young to be a Mom, but my Foster Folks keep telling me over and over what a GREAT Mom I am, so I must be doing something right.

Stay tuned, these little guys get bigger every day...ouch!

Meet Navajo...he is the 'big boy' of my litter...

Come back and watch them grow...

Day 3 and 4 - Puppies 5/6 Days Old

Hi again...
Things are going great...I have a warm bed, plenty of food and water.  I am starting to put some weight back on and I am feeling pretty comfortable now.

Settling into my home...life is definitely easier here

Little Malloy found a soft place to snuggle - she looks pretty cozy

Little Navajo already has a favorite sleeping position

Little Royal is just too cute...

Come back and visit us often...

Day 1 of My New Life

Hi...
My name is Brooklyn and this is the beginning of my story.

The animal control in Seagoville found me the evening my puppies were born.  They found me and four puppies under a bridge and brought me into the shelter.  This was very lucky for me, especially since it was below freezing that night and I would have lost my puppies for sure.  Then I was extra lucky because they called DFW Lab Rescue looking for help.  When my Foster Dad came to bring me and my four babies home, he found me and six babies!  That's right, I had two more babies in the shelter.

My new Foster Dad packed us up and we went straight to the doctor to make sure I did not have more babies that needed to come out, but thankfully I was done.  We are a family of seven!

Because we were found under a bridge, we all got names of bridges. Brooklyn (me), Rialto, London, Navajo, Royal, Bixby, and Malloy (the shelter in Seagoville is on Malloy Bridge Rd.)

Day 1 in the foster home...babies are 2 days old

Thanks to DFWLRR we now have a safe warm home to live while my babies grow.  We will all be looking for our forever homes in a few months...so come back often because they will change a lot in the next few weeks.

Much Love...
